Extending from its multi-segmented body are 8 pairs of short limbs, each ending in four digits. Its bright orange feathery antennae emerge from its Ruurian' head protruding from just above multifaceted red eyes. A tiny mouth moves in rapid small succession when speaking, while small nostrils flare on occasion allowing it to breathe freely. Siobhan's upper section is dressed in a simple cream colored smock, which stands out against the reddish brown body. A simple leather belt surrounds her mid section and hanging precariously on one side is a simple but efficiently designed lightsaber for Siobhan's particular specie. Siobhan may stand out slightly due to the fact that each of Siobhan's movements are purposeful and well considered, almost as if the impact of the movement was weighed before the movement is made. Rruka A smallish Trianii is this rather cheery black and white feline. His eyes are a brilliant green gold hidden in a black cap that extends around the top of his head. A white blaze is perfectly positioned between his eyes. His lower face is purest white except for his black nose and a few large freckles of black around his chin. His fur appears slightly long but baby fine. Other markings are hidden beneath a tunic of a soft slate grey. White hands appear out of the folds of the darker slate robe. More black freckling shows on the clawed fingers. A few blotches appear on the wrists. At his small feline feet are soft boots that soften his step and give him a more civilized look. His black ears have a slight tuft to them. His whiskers are bright white and stand out on the black cap pattern of his head fur. Courtyard -- Jedi Praxeum Coruscant This vast courtyard is where much of the daily life of the Jedi can be observed. A park-like area near the bridge is often used as a study area, and the open areas in that park are teaming with life as students and teachers alike take part in sports and athletic activities, honing the body. At each corner of the square compound is a tower that is easily 200 stories high. Paths criss-cross the entire compound and run the perimeter, from tower to tower. At the north end of the compound is a large hill constructed of many different types and sizes of boulders. In the center of the courtyard is the largest tower, rising another 100 stories above the other towers in the complex. The doublewide, ornate doors to this tower are always open. Unlike the other towers, this one has a wide section near the top that removes the tapered look the other towers have. Above this bulge is where the Jedi Council Chamber is located. Rruka returns to the Praxeum, again in a fairly good mood. He looks around for familiar faces. Siobhan had been sitting with a group of young Jedi, giving a history lesson in a form of an ancient folktale story that seemed to captivate and hold the youngster's attentions. Soon as the story ends, the Master rises from its perched position and dismisses the youngsters to their next activity. Rruka approaches Siobhan with a grin on his face, "Master" He bows, "I hope that wasn't a story I hadn't heard yet. I love stories." He offers another grin, "I had another success last night Master. I got someone to grin who I did not expect one from." Siobhan turns towards Rruka as he addresses Siobhan. Its large eyes reflect the glint of light in several different prismatic angles. Inclining its head to Rruka it replies, "An who might this lucky person be for whom you have brought a moment of joy to?" Rruka smirks, "Master Phanton." A buzz issues from the insectoids lips in what can only be presumed as a touch of laughter, "I see. Master Phanton can be a serious and solemn one at times, but he does have a tender heart that many do not see for they cannot see past his species features. To look into the heart of someone without judging them by their covers so to speak, is a true gift indeed." Rruka laughs, "Master when you must look in the mirror each morning and see yourself as others must see you one such as me cannot help but look within. I am smaller and fluffier then most of my kin. I probably appear as someone's pet more then a fighter. I do not look at one's face. That is a mask." Siobhan nods lightly and begins to walk along the path towards one of the towers. "Then the gift has come to you naturally. But, you must be aware that not all share the same gift, and that not all see things as you or I might. As the saying goes, there are always 2 sides to a story." Siobhan gestures to the lightsaber at the Acolytes side, "How comes your training? Seems to me that you should be nearing the time for your quest. Has Master Phanton mentioned anything to you about it yet?" Rruka shakes his head, "No one has really. I had figured that perhaps I wasn't considered ready yet. Master Rembik started talking to me about it and had me describe my lightsaber but that was it." Siobhan nods lightly as it strolls along at a slow pace with the young Acolyte by its side. "Jedi Rembik has been sent away on an important mission and isn't expected back in the immediate future. Until his return it will be up to myself and the other masters to conduct your training and oversee your progress. I will speak with Master Phanton about you, and see if he believes you to be ready." Stopping Siobhan turns its gaze fully upon the Acolyte, "Are you ready young Rruka? Think hard before you answer. Your answer will carry much weight." Rruka stops and stands there a moment. He closes his eyes as if meditating for a moment upon the question. He then looks up at Siobhan, "I feel I am ready to step my feet upon the next path. There will always be more I could learn at the previous level. But I'm needed to continue on. Perhaps to show others how to see without their eyes?" He gives the Master a slight grin. Siobhan glances at the young Jedi momentarily before returning its attention to the pathway to continue its journey. "The responsibility is not for you to teach someone at this time young Acolyte, but more to understand what responsibility comes from creating, mastering, and wielding a lightsaber. You must understand this responsibility before you are truly ready. See, it is not the Jedi's responsibility to teach the world of things, but more to be the galaxy's protectors in keeping true to the way of the Force. To understand the Force is the most difficult task for a Jedi. Even I at times still struggle to understand certain aspects of it. It is a continual never ending lesson my young padowan." Rruka nods, "Ashton liked my answer when we spoke of the responsibility of the lightsaber. I don't remember my complete answer but I told him that I thought that part of the reason we make the saber's as if part of ourselves was so that we realized that it is US that kills and hurts. A blaster can kill from afar. And you lose part of the understanding that you have just ended a life. If we were to feel no remorse for killing and could do so without care we would surely be on the dark path. When I wield my own saber, it will be -I- who does the damage. Not the blade. And it is -I- who will have to live with the consequences as well as my close friends. It is a weapon of defense that can be used for offence. But we must always use it for defense." Siobhan nods lightly at the young Jedi, "Hence the responsibility of knowing when a lightsaber should or should not be drawn. Once drawn, then you are committed to using it, so you should be absolutely certain that the situation requires you to draw your blade. We must maintain balance in the universe, not move to destroy it even if our intentions are good." Rruka nods, "I understand. I hope that I will bring honor to the Jedi through my actions though they may be only words well spoken." Siobhan inclines its head and buzzes a content reply, "Very well young padowan, let us retire to the study room of the tower. I have need to perform some research, and it may benefit you to conduct your own research on which gem would best suit you for your own blade. Once you've discovered that, then you will need to find out where to find this gem. Consider this the beginning of your quest Rruka. I will speak with Phanton about the travel part and who should accompany you on your quest." END OF LOG
