The Cantina has a reputation of having some of the most rugged and dangerous patrons around; some may even be for hire for the right price. At this moment, the cantina is filled with many creatures, some humanoid, and some not. The air is filled with the haze and musky smoke expelled from various kinds of inhaled paraphernalia. A long bar is situated at the northeast corner with several stools before it, while booths are nestled like cubbyholes along the walls. Vorak - A not totally unpleasant creature is before but would certainly not be in the Adonis category for his race by ANY means. Slightly portly he is wearing a long overcoat in an obviously vain attempt to hide his lack of form, and his boots are sturdy but strong and he is clean shaven with short hair. Deliha - Though ravishing is a strong word, nothing less could be used to describe the Corellian woman. Flaming curls cascade from the creamy complexion of her heart shaped features, to brush across her back in a single loose braid. Vividly green eyes contrast those locks such that they nearly glow and bring a power to her stare that few can weather. The tilt of her chin is proud, and her nose prominent enough to shadow a mouth that is quick to sneer haughtily. Her taut, lithe figure is clothed in garments common to Corellian citizen's fashion: A complimentary burgundy top with a high collar, brown leather pants that cling to the waist, but relax their hold at mid-thigh, and calf-high leather flight-boots. A full-length brown trench coat is thrown over to provide a bit of warmth as well as disguise. Alynne - Standing before you is a woman who appears to be in her late 20's early 30's. She stands to be about 5'10" and seems quite confident and sincere in her movements. Her physical appearance isn't what you would call beautiful, rather average actually. However, it's the way she handles herself that makes her attractive. Her hair is brownish in color, though it appears to be somewhat sun bleached and is cut short. Her hair parts on the left side and sweeps across her forehead in a slight feathery style. Her skin is tanned as if someone who has worked in out under a sun for quite sometime. She's thin with an athletic build, and is currently wearing a stylish tan pantsuit with a lighter colored robe clasped at her neck. Her pants are tucked into a pair of black leather boots. She has a seeming age of experience within her grey blue eyes, and a look of undeniable intelligence behind them. Alynne saunters into the Cantina after a long hard day at work, yes...she usually tries to find work on the so-called rest day, else she'd probably go hungry for another day. Making her way towards the bar, her eyes fall upon the occupants as she passes by, a slight nod of her head brings acknowledgement to those she passes. Deliha stands at the bar, speaking to the bartender in an attempt to order drinks from the man. The room is in a mild commotion, something about storms and thunderheads. Vorak licks his lips and grunts slightly, making the effort to get up as he heads towards the bar, careful to place the paper in his pocket before embarking on his journey.. pulling up next to the lady who recently entered, making various gestures towards the barman "Excuse me... um excuse.. oh heck", shaking his head and whispering to himself "the finer establishments and their /always/ accommodating help".. the latter half of that statement spate out with venom "Barkeep (!)" Alynne finds an empty stool to seat herself upon, only to quirk a brow at the seemingly displeased man and just blinks as she turns back to the bartender who seemingly brings up a drink and places it before Alynne before she even had to ask for it. She nods her head to the bartender then glances to the other side noticing Deliha. Again snippets about clouds and thunderstorms furrows her brow in curiosity. Returning her attention back to Vorak she comments, "Bad day?" Deliha places a light hand on Vorak's shoulder, "Like this sweetheart..." she reaches into a pocket of her coat and pulls out several credits. With a fury one wouldn't expect from her sweet smiling face, she slams the money down with a clatter only money seems to make. The tender's ears perk and comes over post-haste. Deliha frowns at the man, and then motions to Vorak, "He was callin' dear, ya'd best take care of the buck before somethin' bursts." She begins to collect her drinks without further word to Vorak. Deliha seems to be content to allow the two of them to converse, without a glance to Alynne. Vorak gives a quick, but warm smile before placing his order, saying as he places some money on the bar "Much appreciated. It takes some getting used to.. this sort of place.. still everyone and thing to their own. I owe you a debt of education I think yes?" Alynne glances over at Deliha and grins as she shows the man how to go about getting the barkeeps attention. Grinning lightly and holding her own glass in her hand she adds her own comment, "He's really a friendly guy once you get to know him...the getting to know him however, is the hard part". Deliha pushes off the bar, balancing two mugs in one hand and holding another in the right. She motions to the bartender, now turning away from the three of them, "Sweetheart, he's nice to us cause we're woman." She then bumps Vorak with a swish of her hindquarters; "Our male friend here has no hope, short of making a scene suitably macho. She smirks ever so suggestively to Vorak and then winks knowingly to Alynne. Vorak's nose wrinkles up slightly as he thinks he detects a dig, his eyes betraying a quickly turning brain cell or two.. he gives a quick nod and an attempt at a short laugh but it fades quickly and he just offers the slightest of bows to the departing Deliha "My thanks again", his head turning as his focus changes to Alynne, the second party more well informed than himself..., offering a quiet comment "What the heck..", prodding himself over towards Alynne... Alynne glances over at the departing Deliha, her brows raised slightly at the winking comment and gesture. Being a mechanic doesn't hold much to giving in to her own femininity, but she manages to hold her own well enough without flaunting it. In her mind she's as good as a man if not better with her profession. She scoffs a small laugh then glances back to her drink, only then noticing the closing approach of Vorak. Raising her glass to him to congratulate his eventual success with getting the bartenders attention, she takes a sip from her own glass. Deliha slips away from the two of them, so as not to be crushed and returns to the booth nearby where her large man-friend waits. She places two drinks before him and then takes her seat with her own mug. She leans close to the large man and whispers several things, to which he nods. Vorak raises an eyebrow as he approaches Alynne "My greetings, I am Vorak... pretender to the throne of being average. It would seem my... lack of local knowledge stands out all but too obviously, unlike yourselves", his eyes making a directional dart towards Deliha before apparently noticing something odd... "hmmmmmmm", his eyes widening before scratching his side "Damn it must be something in the air on this world, can't stop scratching for some reason", his eyes doing a quick summary of Alynne.. Alynne smiles lightly at the man's introduction of himself and then chuckles. She comments at the scratching, "Might consider some Bacta ointment for that" Wiping of her hand, which has the appearances of having a touch of grease grime upon it, she extends it to Vorak, "Alynne, Alynne Halbreth, local mechanic extrodinaire" she says with a grin crossing her lips, "You break it, I can fix it." Deliha turns her head at Alynne's introduction, Her large male friend and herself close enough to catch some of the conversation between Alynne and Vorak. She then makes some comment to the large man, "....need.... mechanic for... Stormfeather." Kyr, late as usual rushes into the cantina in a beeline for the bar. As he is about to swing around the corner so he can start his work, he sees a familiar face and ends up slipping and hitting the ground with a *thud* Kyr groans, "Hi Alynne" Vorak laughs quickly and says with a degree of warmth "Well in that case stick around. If you can fix it I can break it.. I always have been good at that, all abet unintentionally", his feet shuffling slightly as he leans forward a bit, saying in a low voice "They tell me if you pretend to be slightly intoxicated no one knows any different", making a longer more deliberate inspection of Alynne "For the record I am in property, of a sort... so if you happen to know someone selling, or buying you just let me know and I'll try and break something in the attempt of helping them,... ", his eyes darting to the new entrant... Deliha's head turns as Kyr takes a spill and her brow quirks upward. Her larger friend erupts into a deep belly laugh, 'Boy!" He shouts, "You'd best make sure your boots are tied for you go runnin' round the bar here..." Deliha attempts to stifle a laugh. Alynne can't help but not miss the vertically challenged Kyr as his display brings a few chuckles and laughs from the crowd. Shaking her head, she lifts a finger towards Vorak, "Excuse me one moment" hops off her seat and walks over extending a hand down to Kyr, "Need to grow an extra leg it seems Kyr, you'd do well in a comedy show right now" she states nodding towards the boisterous occupants at Dehila's booth. After bringing Kyr to his feet, she smiles at him and heads back over to her seat. She explains to Vorak, "Young friend of mine, seems to find more holes in the floor than boards." Kyr groans as he gets up "Owww....", his pain passes and he grins "So what'll everyone have?" he asks as he walks behind the bar Vorak shrugs and meanders back to his seat.. talking to himself as he goes "Every time.. why do I bother"... shaking his head as he lumps himself back down in the luckily still free seat, his right hand disappearing into his jacket to retrieve his paper... "now where was I", conscious to glance up every few seconds, clearly not _wanting_ to let go of the image of the lady too quickly even if fate is wanting to conspire otherwise.... Deliha touches the shoulder of her hulking companion lightly and then extracts herself from the booth. She strolls over to Vorak and leans over the table. She flicks the paper lightly with one finger, "What'cha got there sweetie?" Alynne watches Vorak head off just as she sat down and thinks it curious, even more so since he appears to be talking to himself. She watches him a moment, then notices movement out of the side of her eye of the approaching Deliha. She smirks lightly and returns to her drink and responding to Kyr with a lift of her glass, "Already got mine, thanks Kyr." Vorak purses his lips as he considers his answer for a moment, making no attempt to hide his paper "Nothing of any real importance", sniffing at the air as he tries to detect her scent, saying with coy lightness "Tis only property listings, I am into that sort of work... a, er, facilitator of land transactions if you will.". Vorak places his fingers on the paper to re-stake his claim on it as he changes topic "And you never told me your name or what you might do, so for the second time you have me at the disadvantage ma'am", smiling gently, but being very careful not to make any overt gestures.. given her companion's presence nearby.... Kyr nods and pours himself a fizzy drink and guzzles it down, "alright then" Kyr shouts out "House special, Wherns new brandy reserve!" Deliha flashes a brief smile at Vorak, and slides herself into a seat at his table ever so femininely, "Well my name is Deliha.." she bounces a finger toward the Large man in the booth across the way who appears to be engrossed in his drinks and a computer pad before him, "I work for that man over there.." Alynne smirks at Kyr, her last encounter with Wherns Brandy leaves an almost vile taste in her mouth, especially the recollection of the hangover it brought the day after. Her eyes glance over toward Deliha and Vorak, she chuckles lightly at the obvious flirtatiousness of the woman and shakes her head returning her attention to her drink, almost finding new images in the swirling mass contained within. Vorak doesn't bother to turn as he says quickly and simply "Indeed, I had noticed you were with someone.", shifting in his chair slightly as he struggles to find somewhere comfortable, and considerably less aggravating to his.. current problem "Well that solves who you are, and where you are", smiling as he say's playfully "It does not exactly say what you do?, although I suspect that is entirely the point, yes?" Deliha folds her arms across the table loosely and leans over on her elbows. "Oh.. no. What I do isn't really all that important." She shrugs a bit, "But he captains a freighter that runs between a couple of the systems around here, we stopped to pick up some crewmen." She then pats the table lightly with one hand, "I'm sorry... I missed your name.. what was it again?" Vorak gives a little laugh as he stares into Deliha's eyes, seemingly stolen by the moment, his question forgotten "That must be awfully exciting, racing through the stars on a whim...", a slight sigh as he recalls his youth "What I would do to be young and free once again, able to get into all sorts of trouble and not really care about the consequences...", coming back to reality, his face darkening for a moment as the weight of his life replaces itself in his psyche "Of course, such a fine lady as yourself wouldn't be quite as wild as that I suppose, but still it must be so wonderfully exciting...." Alynne tries real hard not to overhear the conversation going on down the bar from where she's at, but with a touch of amusement and hunger for some kind of entertainment, she can't help herself. The little play between the two seems to be acted out and it's not unlike watching a holomovie in a sense. She sips her drink and almost looses it as she overhears Vorak's last comment. Kyr chuckles and hands Alynne a towel and a fresh drink. He also wonders what is going on in the cantina other that murder and drunks for once. Deliha blushes deeply, and rather skillfully to those who are aware of the game, "Oh, aren't you sweet." She giggles softly, "But really, there's nothing exciting about hauling beer, pickles and onions about the galaxy." She glances around the bar, "Life here must be thrilling, all these people with their own goals interacting and socializing." She turns back to Vorak, "Life on the ship is so droll with the same people everyday, and most of them greasy unwashed men.." She flutters her eyes at Vorak. Vorak leans back with a sigh but is careful not to move his hand away, enjoying the contact for what it is, "One mans hell is another's paradise I suppose.. and as for this place, exciting is one term for describing thugs, criminals, and deaf bartenders", casting the fastest of glance's over at the bar, "All I really came to this world for was to catch a little action of some sort before its too late really, and look what I ended up doing... property. Not exactly the most challenging of careers, but I suppose its what I am capable of doing and thus it found me, no matter how much I have been running from it.", looking back over Deliha "But then there's you, you remind me of times long ago and of dreams long forgotten...", his mind wandering a bit "What I wouldn't do to actually do something mildly dangerous.. just once so I can say to myself that I did it. Meet new people travel to new places every other day. To me my dear, your hell sounds more like a paradise , even if it is covered in a little bit of grease every now and then", giving a playful grin... Deliha retracts her hand as the Hulking man brings himself near, "Deliha." He speaks with a deep baritone, "It's time to head back... Leave my message with the bartender, see if he can't spread the word around." He looks to Vorak, and then back to Deliha with a confused furrow to his brow, but he says nothing of it, "Check in with me when you get back." Deliha nods and smiles, "Yes, Sir." She glances back to Vorak with a smile as the tall man leaves, "Well, I'm sure if you've skills to provide a freighter, the Captain could find a place for you... Our crew is fairly sparse, since many left at the death of our first Captain.." Alynne notices the large man approaching the two not too far from her. His voice is hard to ignore. As he leaves she returns her attention upon the pair and perks an ear as she mentions a possible job opportunity. Never missing a beat, she openly asks the woman, "He be looking for a mechanic?" Vorak watches the retraction with some disappointment, the spell semi broken.. "Well an old fart with a skill in chemistry and a hand in first aid from back when I was idealistic and keen I am, a star ship procurer I am not", pausing to take a deep breath, touching his lips "Now how was it you did it", banging his hand on the table, instead of the bar and immediately wincing his voice betraying the stinging sensation in his hand "Barman, drinks!", almost hiding immediately after saying it... wimpsly peeking over at Deliha "I suppose you can only do that when your at the bar huh?"... Kyr runs over to the table manages to avoid imaginary holes along the way. "Yes?" Deliha tosses one arm over the back of her chair as she turns to Alynne, "We're in need of a great many things, dear." She looks the woman over with a careful eye, "You're a mechanic?" She manages to give Vorak a small wink and encouraging expression as he does in fact manage to bring the bartender near. 'Try with a little coin in your hand, perks their ears, dear." Vorak ohhhhs as he observes the interest Deliha takes in Alynne, pulling out a few items of change to waggle around, as discreetly as one can in a place like this "And one for the lady please.. same as before", still plainly uncomfortable with being so... shameless, saying far more quietly "I think I prefer the quiet, subtle approach ..... definitely more my style" Alynne nods lightly to the woman as she replies, "Born and bred as one." Her lips curl up in the corner as she watches Vorak's display at trying to get the bartenders attention, she almost winces knowing his hand hit the bar a bit too hard and at the wrong angle. Kyr nods accepting exactly enough for the drinks and hurries off towards the bar Deliha smiles softly to Vorak, "Sweet of you dear, thank you." She turns to Alynne again, "Do you know your way around freighters... Captain flies a Barloz, with a couple of modifications.." She reaches into her jacket pocket and fiddles around a bit before removing her hand, put pulling nothing out. Alynne gives a shrug and states, "I've worked on all freighter types of one sort or another. If it's a machine, and its broke, I'm pretty sure I can fix it." Taking a final sip of her drink, she leaves the glass on the bar and heads over towards the pair. To the woman she asks, "Where am I to find this captain of yours if I was interested in looking for a job?" Kyr returns with the drinks. He glances at Deliha and looks like he is about to say something when his comlink beeps. He turns it on and jumps upon hearing the voice. Placing the drinks down he runs off and nods at Whern, who has just reappeared at the bar. He exits managing not to bump into the patrons coming in and out. Deliha nods thoughtfully and then, "He comes here often, looking for sharp folk. We can arrange for a meeting, but I'll need to speak with him to confer on the schedule." She turns back to Vorak and sips at her drink, certain the man is thrilled to have two women so near his table. "Delightful.." She starts to try and use his name, but refuses to stumble over her words and ask again. She turns to Alynne, "Do you frequent here?" Alynne shrugs slightly and nods, nodding towards the bartender, "Enough to have made a few friends here and there." Eyes still gazing down at the woman she states, "If a message needs to be left, I'm sure Whern will get it to me next time I see him." Vorak starts to scratch again shortly before starting to stand, making sure to leave enough money on the table to pay for the drinks, for some reason in some hurry all of a sudden.. not really caring if Deliha is talking to someone else.. "I'll see you later on perhaps, my dear"... moving as swiftly as his legs will carry him, straight for the rest rooms......... Deliha nods faintly, "I will be certain to tell him that he has a prospect in you. I would take you to the ship myself, but I dare not as the Captain is protective of it." She seems about to protest Vorak's departure, but fails to catch him. She shrugs faintly, not about to keep up the game, if he is not there to witness. She turns to Alynne, "May I ask your name?" Alynne extends her hand towards the woman, "Alynne, Alynne Halbreth, finest mechanic you'll ever find on this planet." A little boasting doesn't hurt, if it means securing another potential job that will hopefully help keep her belly filled for the next month or two. Deliha nods, and then rises from her seat, not interesting in finishing a drink she didn't have to pay for. "Well dear, the captain will definitely judge that for himself." She extends one hand. "I must leave, but my name is Deliha..." She fails to add a sur name, "I will mention your name to the Captain and should he desire a meeting I will get back to you." Alynne nods to Deliha and smiles, "I'd appreciate that Miss Deliha, and thank you" she says as she watches the woman go. Resigned to having to find a place for herself to sleep for the night, she waits a few moments, taking in the warmth of the place before heading out through the doors into the chilly night air. Deliha side steps from Alynne and saunters over to the bar, leaving a few words with Whern she passes him a few coins and then shifts her gait to something more suited to walking the streets and heads out the door.
