    Meteor Way -- Coronet
Downtown Coronet doesn't really seem like a downtown at
all. Small shops interspersed between parks here and there make
it look as if Coronet is a relaxing place of paradise. The slow
steady pace of shops and parks seems almost natural for this
area. Several benches sit under shady trees, inviting the
leisurely traveler to take a moment and relax. Another small park
offers a play area for children, while yet another appears to be
a monument to the local modern artists in the area with all the
sculptures taking their place among the trees and pathways.

Alynne saunters on down the street, a bit of a smudge mark can be
seen on her cheeks and her hands look a bit dirty, as if she's
been hard at work. Upon seeing Rathe she nods to him, to
acknowledge his presence as she moves on along. She's so
engrossed in letting Rathe know she's seen him that she
    practically runs into Terrick unawares.

Terrick glares icily at Alynne wondering how one person could be
so willing to bow to one person and run into another if he doesn't
exist. Terrick lets out a loud humph and directs a comment to
    Alynne "Watch where you're going."

Alynne puts up her hands in front of her and cringes apologetically,
"I'm real sorry about that. Didn't realize you were in front of me."
She steps around Terrick and glances back over her shoulder at him,
trying to offer a small polite smile, even though she's probably
made a not so good first impression on the man.

Terrick nods and leans against a nearby wall and lights a pipe and
begins smoking, "Its okay, don't worry bout it.. " Seems a smile
gets you further with the poor than you realized. Terrick sighs
heavily and attempts to expand on the conversation, "Names Terrick
Seth..and you are?" He takes a few puffs on his pilot and looks in
    his jacket pocket for something.

Alynne pauses as Terrick introduces himself. She seems quite
off-guard that a man she had just offended by running into him,
is now speaking to her. She cautiously turns around and extends
her hand, then as if to realize how dirty her hand is, she tries
to wipe some of the grime off on her pants. Glancing up she smiles,
"Sorry, just got done with a job a bit ago, names Alynne, Alynne
Halbreth. Pleasure to meet you Mr. Seth."

Terrick chuckles, "Dirty hands don't scare old farmers miss." He
takes hold of Alynne's hand in a firm handshake and releases just
as quickly. "Where does one get so dirty apart from a farm in day
    to day activities?"

Alynne smiles as the man seems to accept her the way she is. The
grip of her hand is just as firm as his with the handshake and to
the question she replies gesturing over her shoulder at the
Spaceport, "Oh, just got done with a fix up job on a Repulsor
lift." She glances at the man; "You're a farmer then?"

Terrick sighs loudly as if recalling a horrible memory, which he
wipes away with a lopsided grin, "Use to be, some circumstances
happened force me to quit and now attempting to make some money
in a galaxy formally unknown to me." He sighs again, "I would be
called a navigator now it seems."

Rathe walks down the dark, damp sewer. The *Drip* *Drip* of water
falling from above and splashing against the floor can be heard
echoing off the walls. He looks over to Tigra, still not knowing
his name, but not asking for the fear they would be heard.

Tigra stops for a moment and sniffs the air, he seems to have
singled out a scent and moves off to the side and starts scooting
across the wall, his Vibro-Katana lowered to his waist. He peeks
around a corner and doesn't see anything but he doesn't move
    either.

Alynne grins lightly at Terrick as she nods; "Navigator ain't so
bad. I'm a general mechanic. You put a broke piece of machinery
in front of me, I can fix it." She smiles again, "So you would be
new to Coronet then, wouldn't you?"

Terrick nods slowly, looking around as if he heard something but
shrugs it off, "Yeah new to most of the civilized galaxy."

Alynne grins lightly at Terrick, "Same here. Came here to get away
from my fathers 'I want you to follow in my footsteps and take
over the business' tradition. I wanted to see the stars and
travel throughout the galaxy, not get stuck in one place for too
    long."

Terrick chuckles, "Just wish my story was as upbeat.." He leans
back against the wall still wondering if he heard something
below as if he cannot shake a feeling. He had that same feeling
before..the accident.. "Well I hope I can make it well here.."
he says smiling masking the pain he was currently feeling.

Alynne cocks her head to the side and glances at Terrick from the
side of her eyes as she smiles at him, "Well, I can tell you that
the people here sure can make past memories disappear for a while.
I've met some interesting people so far." Gesturing to the Cantina,
"That's the local hang out, and a good way to meet people. I tend
to hang around the starport, park and there. It gives me that
    variety I need".

Terrick crouches down to the ground and places his hand on the
ground, "Is there anything that runs below the streets?" after he
asked his question he looked toward the Cantina, "Looks pretty
rough.. perhaps you can accept some company.. I am lost in this
side of the galaxy." He continues to run his hand across the
    ground.

Alynne glances at the ground and shrugs, "There are sewers that run
below. There's word that some kind of creature is living down there
right now. Guess it had a couple people for meals, so they say".
She nods toward the cantina, "Be glad to have a bit of company, as
long as you're buying," she asks tentatively. "Haven't gotten paid
    yet" she explains.

Terrick chuckles, "Wish I had a credit to my name, spent them all
getting here." he sighs loudly, "Been searching for someone for
sometime and it has taken away all my resources.."

(Due to computer dying, a portion of the log was lost, but to sum
things up, Alynne suggested to Terrick that they take a walk along
the park, and perhaps she could catch some fish for dinner.
Terrick agreed and off they went. They strike up idle conversation
after Alynne scrounges for proper bait to fish with, and the scene
picks up while Alynne fishes off a small dock.)

Terrick sighs loudly, "was waiting on you to ask about the farm..
its rather painful.. but its been two years so I will talk to you
about it.. I am not afraid of my past.." he looks up at the sky to
gain some composure..."Well my parents are dead and the farm is
long burned down to the ground...my brother missing and the only
evidence to find him is a large sword I found on the scene of the
chaos." He looks toward the water attempting to change his tone,
"You are right about salt..makes anything taste good." He gives
    a faint smile.

Alynne offers a sympathetic smile and nods turning to look out
over the lake, "Sorry about your parents" she says solemnly. About
that time, the line goes slightly taut, Alynne is quick to react
as she draws the line back, reeling in the wire gently, but quickly
enough so the prize won't be lost. "Looks like dinners a calling"
she states and she pulls a fair size trout looking fish from the
water. The fish squirms upon the hook, and it takes a moment for
Alynne to free the hook from the fish's gills. She smiles back at
Terrick as she whips a small pocket knife out of her boot and
flips it open to quickly go to work gutting and beheading the
    take.

Terrick watches how efficiently Alynne guts the fish, "Wow good
with your hands I take it, and don't worry bout the death of my
parents I mourned and made my peace years ago.." he sighed again
"But I will never and I mean never give up the search for my
brother.." looking at the fish, "I hope you like'em cooked..."
    he gives a lopsided smile.

Alynne grins back at Terrick in response to his comment, she
gestures to a patch of ground nearby suitable for cooking, "Think
you can get a fire started? I'll be through with this in a few
moments" she states as she wipes her forehead with the back of
    her hand.

Terrick nodes and finds some stray sticks and some grass and
proceeds to surround it by rocks and pulls a small igniter out
of his pocket and lights it. A small flicker of a fire begins to
show and Terrick blows lightly toward the small flames and where
there was once a patch was now a steady flame. "Here you go.. "
    he smiles.

Alynne smiles as she begins to disassemble her pole, placing the
pieces back into her pouch once again. Picking up the fish she
heads over toward the fire, along the way snapping off a sapling
stick to spit the fish for roasting. "Thanks, looks like your
pretty handy with your hands as well" she compliments with a
touch of humor. Pushing the stick through the fish she seats
herself across the fire and holds the fish over the fire, "So
you find a crew to hire you as a navigator yet?"

Terrick chuckles," thanks yeah farmers tend to be good with our
hands.." he chuckles, "..as for a crew no.. I am a free agent."
he leans back and his amber eyes stare into the flame..as if
    recalling some painful memories.

Alynne turns the fish, keeping the flame even over its surface,
"Well, I may be in luck with finding a crew to take me on. Seems
there's one just getting together after the unfortunate demise of
the previous captain. They are in need of a mechanic, and I'm in
    need of a job."

Terrick nods, "Well that's good now if they needed a navigator
life would be good.." he chuckles yet again. "That fish is
starting to smell pretty good over there..." reaching in his
large overcoat Terrick pulls out a bottle of Corellian Ale and
sits it down on the ground.

Alynne glances down at the roasting fish, which usually doesn't
take too long to cook. She rummages around in her pouch and
produces a small container with several holes in the top of it.
Turning it to open the holes, she brings the fish close to her
and sprinkles a bit of salt over the fish, "There we go, just
about done." Placing the fish back over the fire to roast she
states, "I'm not sure if they have a navigator or not. I suppose
you could find out. I met part of the crew at the Cantina a
couple days ago. Got to actually talk to the Captain. Seemed
    like a decent enough fellow."

Terrick nods solemnly examine the fish, the sheer odor of it was
enough to make his stomach growl, When was the last time he had
eaten, a day maybe two days ago? He wasn't here by choice
stranded rather as a Republic vessel was brought down in flames
upon a blind attack like the horrid memory of his family he
shrugged it off but was certainly visibly unnerved for a minute
since he left Fondor luck was against him but finally he had
found a voice of reason in a world of chaos, his emotions and
thoughts spiraled into a blur and he broke the silence that was
rather acquired with a simple, "My...that fish smells good..
perhaps we can meet this capatain soon maybe? If that's okay
    with you?"

Alynne shrugs lightly and pulls the fish closer to inspect it,
tentatively touching it and pulling off a piece to make sure its
done, offering the stick over to Terrick she says, "Don't know if
the Captain is there at the Cantina all the time though. If I see
one of the crew member again, I'll see if we can't arrange
    something."

Tentatively looking about not to act so hungry Terrick pulls of a
steaming piece of the fish and attempts to withhold his hungry
slowly consuming a piece. Eyeing the area as if a homeless guy
with a complex he hands the stick back to Alynne and nods, "I
understand patience is a virtue... and I really need to find
away to contact the Republic.." Republic a word not brought up
in the conversation since it started an hour ago. What a ignorant
fool Terrick thought to himself you just gave away a vital piece
of information that should of been kept to yourself, what if she
was Sith? Nonsense I got farmers instinct and didn't feel anything
bad about her. But never the less he didn't say another word and
    sit quietly.

Alynne accepts the stick back and the piece she had pulled off
already eaten, she pulls off a new piece blowing on it a bit
before placing on her tongue. After she chews and swallows some,
she states, "Well, I'm not one for getting involved with any
faction so to speak. I'd prefer to remain neutral and keep all
of my options open, and I'm thinking the crew I'm considering on
joining, is also leaning that way. Course, if they take you on
and they happen to land on Coruscant, I'm sure you can probably
    contact someone there."

Terrick rubbing his chin he nods solemnly, "Forget I mentioned
the Republic... that's a past I don't want to look back to my
past is jumbled enough as it is.. no more complications..." he
sighed and looked across the park scanning the landscape, "I
still say something was lurking in those sewers..." quickly
changing the topic of discussion, "You spoke of some kind of
beast devouring people or something can you go further on
that?" he shifted his weight slightly and reached for the ale.

Alynne laughs as she pulls off another piece and hands it over to
Terrick, "No, not that I can personally tell you. I heard it from
a fella named Rathe. Seems he was trying to recruit some people
to try and hunt that thing."

Ponders the name for a few moments, "Oh hunting something down..
that's an idea as long as your bring the right equipment I pray
he didn't go down there unprepared..." Terrick knew about being
unprepared for disaster in someway. "But most likely he will come
back smelling and empty handed, could be a myth he is chasing.."
    he chuckles.

Alynne shrugs as she glances at Terrick over the fire, "Don't know
what he had planned. He was trying to get me to come help him and
I told him I was no fighter. Mechanic yes, fighter, no...and
perhaps a part time fisherman" she says jokingly as she gestures
    to the fish.

Terrick chuckles looking at the fish with a nod, "That you are..
that you are.. so what would bring a mechanic to this planet and
not another destiny or something more real.." he said jokingly as
he pulled a small datapad out of his jacket and begin to punch
    something onto it.

Alynne peers through the fire at the datapad, curious as to what
Terrick's entering into it, turning her gaze back up to his she
smiles, "Didn't want to get stuck in one place. My dad wanted me
to take over the family business on Tatooine, but I had enough of
the dust and grit and had that wondering feet disease."

Terrick nods solemnly, "My Tatooine awfully far away from home
then.." he continues to put something into his datapad furrowing
his brow for a moment.. and then puts the datapad back into his
jacket, "So do you think its worth it? Traveling unknown routes
to expand our galaxy?" Again a fear ripped through his eyes but
just for a moment as he calmed down and grabbed the remaining
piece of fish which was cold now and he devoured it.

Alynne shrugs lightly, "I'm hoping so. If I land this job with
the crew, I will be set. And who knows, maybe after I'm done
travelling the galaxy, I will have made up enough credits to
start up my own repair service and settle down somewhere. Its
not easy for a woman to follow her dreams, but I'm going to try
my hardest to do just that" she says with a smile.

Nodding, "Well I have had my experiences "exploring" and let me
tell you it's not easy and its not exciting in fact its down
right dangerous with a Sith empire lurking in the shadows of the
expansion region.." what had come over him he sounds like a
parent rather than a navigation officer again his personal
history and emotion blocking logical thinking again he must
divert his attention and reaches into his jacket for yet again
the datapad and begins punching on it.

Alynne smiles and tries to be polite and not ask about the
datapad, as if to ignore it even being there, though her eyes
glance at it periodically, "Well, being on Tatooine isn't all
that great either. Coronet isn't a bad city, might even consider
settling down here after my wanderlust has been satisfied." She
glances down, "I know that travelling around the galaxy won't be
all fun and games, but it will certainly broaden my horizons and
give me some cultural experiences that I long for."

Terrick nods, "Well I know I am a lucky person and blessed by
fate.. I hope you are as well because somehow I have got away
from certain death three times in 4 years, I hope you know what
your getting into once you make a jump into unknown space. Yes
Coronet is beautiful just wish I was here under better
circumstances... Travelling is all I can do right now still
searching..." he cut himself short and looked back into his
datapad a moment, "So what was Tatooine like?"

Alynne laughs as he asks the question, "Hot, dry, dusty where
sand gets into anything and everything no matter how much
cleaning you try to do. Makes the machinery parts wear out faster,
and it also makes fixing them more difficult because you don't
know if perhaps a grain of sand is blocking the electrical
circuit, or if the circuit itself has shorted out until you've
gotten in there and looked." She shrugs, "Works a lot harder. I
suppose I got tired of the head and sand." She looks at the man
across from her, her curiosity getting the better of her to the
point where she gets bold, nodding towards the datapad, "Whatcha
    entering there?"

Terrick his eyes go empty for a moment if searching the back of
his head for answers, "uhh logs.. " a dumb answer with a dumb
look on his face, he attempts to avoid answering the question
any further, "Dusty eh.. sounds pretty bad..how much of the
    galaxy have you seen?"

Alynne furrows her brow slightly, not really thinking his answer
is all that good of a one, and for that reason she becomes a
little more suspicious. Gesturing to the datapad, "Logging
information about me?" she says with a bit of indignity. "I'm
not a spy, if that's what you are wondering. I'm just a mechanic
trying to get by from day to day. Why all the questions?"

Terrick rubs his chin, "Okay I see nothing but the truth will
answer the question. I am not on this planet by choice. I have no
food or money. Yes I am a navigator and was on the Republic
Dreadnought "Exidus" we were exploring the expansion region, but
something must of traced our jump back to Corellia as we set in
orbit we were struck without warning our shields were down..."
Terrick went into some detail of who died first and were the ship
went down "...as luck would have it as it seems to have always
had I managed to live? How? I asked myself as a drifted ashore
some days ago.. pain for my crew mates.. they are all dead..this
log you speak of is a ship log.. I still keep records of the
crew...me the only survivor. " Terrick sighs loudly and looks
toward the sky. "my past is even worse and I don't wish to
    discuss it.

Alynne seems almost ashamed that she even accused the man of
trying to get information out of her, so much so that her eyes
drop to gaze into the fire. She solemnly and sincerely says,
"I'm sorry. I..." she seems at a loss for words but just looks
up and restates, "Sorry" then goes quiet as if being in an
    uncomfortable situation.

Terrick nods solemnly, "Don't worry how were you suppose to know
my life for the past four years was a disaster.. its not your
fault nor mine..fate has a way of dealing a evil hand..." he
smiles trying to break the atmosphere, "I do long for space you
know.. and I would really like to make his acquaintance and maybe
get a job with you guys.. my Republic career could be considered
over... " he sighed and gave a good lopsided grin in Alynne's
    direction.

Alynne glances up as the man assures her and releases her from
any guilt she may have felt. She offers up a warm smile and nods
to him, "The captains name is Cormel, I've been in contact with
one of his crew, a woman named Dehila. She's quite the looker and
I've seen the way she tries to flirt with a number of men. If I
were a man, I think I'd be wary of her" she says with sincerity.

Terrick nods, "I am weary of everyone..and with good reason.. I
have a feeling not taking me onto the crew and you go exploring
could spell your certain death, I know most regions and I know
the enemy..I've seen it.. and all it's evil.." he sighs "..and
perhaps it will help me forget this unfortunate accident..and
help me search for my brother.." he looks at here giving her
    that
look he seems good at giving people and places his datapad into
    his jacket.

Alynne smiles and chuckles, almost grinning as she replies, "Hey,
you never know, _I_ could be the crews lucky charm. I'm quick with
my hands, and can fix virtually any piece of machinery set before
me. Besides, you never know what bit of information you might come
across during our travels that may lead you to find your brother."
She cocks her head to the side keeping that grin on her lips, "Are
you trying to offer to be my protector or something?" she asks
    humorously.

Terrick shrugs of the last comment, "I offer services when I feel
they need be rendered.. experience can come in handy especially
when your in the unknown regions.. I offer to help protect everyone
on the crew and respect no one person." His eyes turned cold and
his face was expressionless after the statement but just for a
moment and he returned to the flaunting farmer boy he had looked
like before. Innocent to the world who knew he has had so much
problems in life before.. was luck really with him or a big fat
curse. "So what kind of ship do these people have? or are you
allowed to tell anyone?" he chuckles.

The grin slowly disappears into a soft slight smile as Alynne nods
    as if to understand his statement. She looks back into the fire;
"They tell me it's a freighter of some sort. The original Captain
came upon an unfortunate accident and perished from it. So the new
Captain, Mr. Cormel, is setting up a new crew for it. That's where
I come in, and..." she gestures to you, "perhaps you as well." She
glances about and says, "I'm thinking it's probably time to go
search out a place to hole up for the night."

Terrick looks up into the sky and notices it has gotten dark and
also notices the fire had lost fuel in the conversation what was
hours seemed like minutes in a engaging conversation Terrick
hadn't had one of those since he departed for military school all
so many years ago he nods, "Where does one hunker down in a place
    like this?"

Alynne can't help but laugh as she shrugs, turning to gesture to
one of the many benches lining the lakefront. "I've spent many a
night in one of those, and if I get enough credits, I find myself
a cheep hotel room to have me a sonic-shower and a soft bed to
sleep in." She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a few
credits, "Maybe after I get paid tomorrow I'll have enough for a
room. But tonight, guess its the bench unless you can think of a
    better idea?"

Terrick shrugs helplessly, "I am very poor, and the fact is I've
been sleeping in street alleyways and such for the past two days I
don't see how a bench could hurt." He chuckles looking over a few
benches trying to pick out one for himself.

Alynne smiles and states reassuringly, "It's not al that bad,
better for your back to sleep on something solid, so they say. The
only part about being out in the open like this is if it decides
to rain." She glances up at the clear sky, "Which I don't think it
    will tonight."

Terrick shakes his head as he seems to agree, "It hasn't rained
since I've been here again being rather lucky, and "SOLID" isn't
the term I'd use for them I'd say uhhh rock-hard." he chuckles

Alynne smiles at the man's comment and even chuckles lightly with
him, "You can say that again." She stretches then rises from the
spot she had been sitting, taking up the left over fish stick, she
pokes around into the dying embers to insure that they go out.
Glancing at the man she says, "Well, it was certainly a welcome
change to have company for dinner. Thank you for accepting my
invitation, even though it wasn't a 4 star restaurant or anything
like that" she says with a grin. "But, I think I'm going to go
find me a good bench and try and get some sleep. Maybe tomorrow
I'll be able to catch up with the crew and mention your name. Till
    then, rest well."

Terrick nods, "The pleasure is mine I assure you...have a good
night and may our paths cross again sometime.." he smiles finding
    himself a bench.

Alynne smiles back over her shoulder as she walks away, "I'm sure
they will, I'm sure they will" she repeats to herself as she moves
off to find a place to settle down for the night.
