Description: Alwyn returns to Teta to return the crew of the stolen shuttle.
Massassi Military Complex -- Cinnagar, Teta
The Thethu Military Headquarters is as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside. The ceilings are high, and the lighting imitates daylight. Tall columns are surrounded by giant statues of great heroes and their mighty Sith Lords. The walls are decorated with paintings of battlefields, well as weapons of war, and many colorful variations of the symbol of the Thethu-- The Blazing Sun. In the center of the main hall is a giant statue of the Thethu Lord Darth Cabal. The statue is massive, and rises several stories, just short of the ceiling. On his sides stand two lesser statues of Thethu Massassi. One of the Massassi is dressed in the uniform of the Thethu Elite Guard, and the other in the garb of the infamous Death Squadron of navy starfighter pilots.
The central nexus of the complex rises close to fifty stories up. It houses the central strategic command of the military, and the offices of the command staff. From the main nexus, two wide corridors lead to the East and West wings. The West Wing houses the army barracks and the Thethu Warrior Academy. The East Wing houses the navy living quarters and the Thethu Naval institute. Each wing rises ten stories into the air and features ample outside ground for training and assembly.
In the shared office at a mid point in the pyramid is Alwyn's Commanding Officer at desk in conference with official members of the bounty Hunters guild. The meeting seems concluded as all rise and fail to shake hands.
Alwyn walks over to the door and upon noticing other people in the room steps to the side to wait for them to leave. She glares at Mereel and motions for him to move beside her.
The varied species that exit give Alwyn a sniff as if ever on the hunt ever seeking their prey. The three of them take their leave though some peers of Alwyn's CO are studiously at work at desks of their owns. The CO's eyes watching the leave takings land upon Alwyn and blink registry ass if again she seems ghost back from the dead. "Well?" He demands impatiently though she's really had no time to even speak.
Alwyn gives a low bow and then quickly goes back to the door to drag Mereel when she notices that he didn't follow. "I have a great deal to report, sir," she begins. "The others that were meant to be on the shuttle are all in custody sir. They are all accounted for, none of them died. This one stands out as being even more cowardly than the others sir. When I spotted him on Corellia he tried to lie and run away several times sir!" she reports.
Mereel lurches forward as Alwyn takes his arm, glaring at her for a moment, then casting his eyes back to the floor. As he listens to the story she tells, he swallows. The cuts she inflicted on him begin to itch, and he reaches out to scratch, but then returns his hand to his side.
The Triarii Glares at Alwyn and the Principe Mereel as if not enamoured of either, "You live as well? All of you? You are so cowardly as to what?! What? Hiding on Corellia?" He sputters as if not able to conceive the betrayal and failure presented before him. "Speak Principe, where is your ship, the weapons and where are the agents?"
Alwyn stands quietly knowing not to speak unless she is spoken too.
Mereel throws himself to the floor, howling, "I do not know the location of the ship or the weapons!" Closing his eyes in fearful anticipation, he continues, "The agents are all on Corellia - they have scattered."
The Triarii glares at the humility shamed before him and he looks to Alwyn with hatred beyond her measure, "Is there anything this maggot yet knows that we do not? Are you able to report for him all that is relevant?" His eyes pierce through her with the intensity of the request.
Alwyn glares at Mereel quickly before turning back to face the officer. It is easy to see that she is seething with fury at Mereel's words. "He is lying again sir. This poor excuse for a Sith was there when I gave the order and he knows that the agents and the rest of the crew are in custody and on the way here as we speak!" She manages to compose herself a little and continues, "I can tell you how they failed in their duty sir, but I think the thing I should first tell you is that I have a lead on the suspect sir! A Jawa named Zorus, sir! I will need more time if I am to confirm that, but the lead is good. I brought this piece of banther fodder back here first since he probably would have run away again had I not!"
Mereel looks up at Alwyn hatefully as she speaks, narrowing his eyes. He considers speaking, but is too terrified to do anything but close his eyes.
The Triarii growls his first reaction and then points to the puddle of a creature, "Slay him, do it now I will not have his expired air fouling this soldiers building another breath. He has failed in so many ways it is mockery that he yet has thoughts in this world. Send him to the void Hastati." This last title spoken with a drawn lilt as if dangling it before her.
Alwyn smiles as she draws her vibroblade from its sheath and activates it. She takes a step toward the sniveling former pilot and swings her blade aiming directly at his neck in an attempt to decapitate him.
Mereel listens to his death sentence and closes his eyes, smiling weakly. There will be no torture, no prolonged interrogation, just a release. His body collapses to the floor, blood spilling onto the floor and forming a rapidly expanding pool. A short distance away, his face smiles blankly at the ceiling.
Half-hewn head rolls to the Officer's feet as pooled blood floods the polished floor. The officer lifts boot as if to avoid the wet but then makes motivation clear as he steps on head to rend it rest of way from the corpses core, "Well done Hastati, One would think you'd trained with the gods. Now when can we expect the agents on Teta, they were the real purpose of the mission."
"Very soon sir, I should say in less than an hour, they were being rounded up to follow and know that it is in their interests to hurry," she replies. A hint of a smile touches her face at her new title but she is careful to allow no more to show.
"I personally am to blame for this and shall submit to my superiors. In mean time I have placed a bounty on the Dark Messenger to place more eyes on the look for her. I think we must continue charade that the missing weapons were of importance. Follow your lead, contact the guild and extend my bounty to this thief of yours. IT will be known on Corellia that no one crosses the Thethu and lives. At least not for long. Find this Zorus and bring him to me. He is the key to my redemption and should I fail your next master may not be so ..... encouraging, as I."
"Yes SIR!" she says and salutes you. "I will do my utmost to find this criminal and will contact the Bounty Hunters Guild. Sir if I may know? Does your redemption rely on him being found or by him being found by me? I am asking so I know if I need to be careful about whether anybody else finds him first, sir"
The Triarii aims a sudden back hand at her check to slap at her for her foolish prattle, "Find him! Find him find him! I care not the means, Find him or your head will live soon on pike with his!" He kicks it hard sending it pell messy mell across the office.
Alwyn salutes briskly and says, "Yes Sir." She then asks, "Permission to leave, Sir?"
The officer's eyes dance with fire and his teeth grit, "Well he's not here is he?!" He screams on verge of losing it. "And send some Accensi to clean up this mess on your way out!" He points, offering no salute or respect.
Alwyn leaves the room very briskly. As soon as she's out the door you can hear, "you, come here right now.....don't dawdle!"
