Scooting over she pats the bench seat beside her, "Come, have a seat. Its a _much_ better night now that you are here" she says genuinely. "What's been going on with you lately?" Aiden shakes his head, "Same old, same old... I've been on two runs into the Republic. Good people, for the most part." Taking a seat on the bench, he looks over at Alynne and says, "I got back a few days ago, and that old guy I work for gave me seven days off.... At any rate, I'm pretty good. How about you, Aly?" Alynne smiles and seems genuinely glad of Aiden's good fortune, "Sounds great, wish I could find an outfit to hook up with. Right now I'm getting pretty desperate." She gestures to what appears to be a smoldering campfire a small distance off, "Been having to make it out here for a while till I can find my next job. Seems jobs are getting more scarce. I may have to go back home soon if I can't land something quick." Jenifer enters from Meteor Way North -- Coronet. Jenifer has arrived. Aiden perks an eyebrow up at that, and then says, "You... Oh man... I knew I shouldn't have left. Maybe I can help you out." He smiles and continues, "I'm sure that old man I work for could use another hand. It's not glamorous, but...." Alynne glances up at Aiden, "You think its possible? Right now I'll take just about anything". She moves closer to Aiden and glances down while muttering, "You wouldn't believe it, but I've been living off of the fish and duck I catch off this very lake." Sure enough, bones lying upon the ground are evident of just that. Jenifer walks quietly from the street to the green park, wandering of her own accord, not really paying attention to anything in particular. Aiden looks surprised, yes... but pity in his eyes, rather there is respect and understanding... he knows how rough it is, even on the Corellian homeworld. He eyes the bones, then looks up at Alynne again. "I'll do it early tomorrow. But, only if you do me a favor..." Alynne smiles at Aiden and waits expectantly for a moment, then asks, "What favor is that?" Gesturing over to the bones, "Want a duck roast cooked for ya some night?" she says humorously. Glancing outwards past Aiden, she can barely make out a figure walking along the path that goes right behind the bench they are seated at. Aiden 's eyes follow Alynne's, spotting the walker approaching. He smiles crookedly, and says softly, "No... Although I would love to try some of your cooking, someday." Reaching a hand out, he pats Alynne on the shoulder and says, "I want you to stay in my apartment tonight, instead of out here on this bench. I'll sleep on my couch in the front, you can have the bed.... I just..... I can't have a friend out on the streets like this night after night." Jenifer continues her wanderings, half oblivious to her surroundings. As she goes along the path, she draws near two people seated on a bench. She smiles politely. "Lovely weather, ain't it?" Alynne answers Aiden and can't help but smile at him. It'd be nice to have a bed to sleep in after so many nights on a hard ground, but she's not one to accept handouts so readily either. "Aiden, you are already doing more than enough for me with checking on a possible job for me. I don't feel right about putting you out of your own bed. _I'll_ sleep on the couch." She glances up as the woman passes along side the bench. Smiling at the woman's comment Alynne replies, "It is indeed, and getting better by the moment." Aiden nods, then waves to Jenifer, "Yes... Nice weather. And not bad fishing, or so I hear, at the lake." He nudges Alynne and leans back into the bench. Aside to Alynne he murmurs, "It's my apartment, I'll take the couch." Jenifer smiles and nods, feeling as if she's just intruded on a private conversation. Jen waves as she leaves them. "Enjoy the nice day," she says, smiling. Alynne smiles at the woman and nods lightly to her calling out after her, "You too!" Then returns her attention back to Aiden, "Then I opt to stay here tonight if you won't let me have the couch. I'm not going to have you give up your own bed on account that I can't find enough work to keep me from having to sleep out here. I'm much too proud for that Aiden." "Alynne." The word is breathed out like an exasperated sigh. Aiden shakes his head, there are too many stubborn women on this planet. Apparently he decides it's not worth arguing and says, "Then take the couch. And this isn't charity. You owe me one night's rent... which comes to about the same price as a duck dinner." He winks at Alynne, then looks at Jenifer. "Leaving already?" Jenifer turns around slowly. "It seemed to be quite an engaging conversation. I get in a lot of trouble like that, you know, hearing things I'm not supposed to." Jen shrugs sheepishly, and takes a few steps back towards the bench." Alynne smiles and nods with satisfaction to Aiden, glad for the place to stay and the ability to take a vibroshower. As the woman replies to Aiden, Alynne seems to chuckle lightly and puts up a hand as if to wave off the excuse, "No no, my friend and I were just discussing future business arrangements is all." Extending a hand towards the woman over the bench, "Alynne's the name." Gesturing to Aiden, "He's Aiden" Aiden stands and bows at the waist. "Pleased to meet you, Ma'am." Then he sits again on the bench, "I don't think we were saying anything that would get you in trouble.... just business." He motions to the extra space on the bench, "Care to sit with us and watch the water?" Alynne shakes the woman's hand, "A pleasure". As Aiden motions for the woman to sit, Alynne scoots over a touch closer to Aiden and encourages, "Yes, please, room for one more at least, and if you like, I can give you the finer points on fishing" she says with a grin. Jenifer smiles graciously. "Why thank you, I think I will for a little while." Jenifer comes around to the front of the bench, and sits down. She chuckles lightly at Alynne's comment. "Fishing was one sport I never could quite get the hang of." "What kind of fish are in that overgrown pond, Alynne?" Aiden looks over, curious as to what kind of creature would lurk in the lake. "Pretty tasty ones if you are hungry enough" Alynne says with a wink at Aiden. Turning her attention to Jenifer, "What brings you out alone on a night like this? You looking for a good piece of ground to sleep on as well? I can point out a few good spots if you like?" Jenifer says, "That would be great, actually." "What the..." Aiden sighs, rolling his eyes at the women. "What is with you girls and sleeping on the grass." He shakes his head, then feigns a headache and puts a hand up to touch his forehead. "Women." Jenifer grins. "Well you try sleeping in the ship you don't own but are saving up for," Jen says lightheartedly. "That don't last too long." Alynne winks at Jenifer and grins real wide as she nudges Aiden and says, "Why Aiden, you got another couch for a woman in need? You could just rake in those duck dinners you know" she teases. Aiden groans inwardly, but is a gentlemen after all (HAH!). "Um, well, I do have two couches. I... Well, if you want to stay the night, I suppose... I mean." He looks over at Jenifer, almost as if he's scanning her, then says, "You don't -look- dangerous anyways... It's up to you, but if someone's in need, I usually make the offer to help.... I had help getting on my feet when I first left my mother's home." Jenifer puts on her best innocent face. "I'm perfectly harmless," she assures Aiden. "It's a very generous offer." Alynne beams with amusement at the uncomfort Aiden feels with offering his apartment out to not just friends, but strangers too. She nudges Aiden, "Don't worry, I'll protect you" she teases some more offering another wink at Jenifer. "I think it will be fun, sort of like what I did as a kid, having what we called 'sleep- overs'. We could stay up all night telling scary stories and eating protein pops." Aiden blushes and grins at the same time, isn't he so cute? "Um.. aw, ah.. So you'll stay the night? It's a warm apartment... No leaks or anything. Pretty clean too, I only stay there when I'm on planet.... And.. my mother helped me with some of it. Senator Eriadani." That last admission sends him into a whole new wave of blushing. Jenifer looks impressed. "Well now, that's definitely something to be proud of, isn't it?" Jen looks to Alynne. "A sleep over sounds like a fabulous time." Alynne slaps Aiden's leg with her hand, "You know, this will be the first time I've ever been to your place Aiden. Hope you have enough Protein pops on hand" she says devilishly. She then seems to focus on a part of Aiden's last comment that she almost passed by "You never told me your mom was a senator. No wonder you got credits coming out of your ears." Glancing back at Jenifer she does the woman to woman nod thing, "We'll weasel out more information on this guy between the two of us." Gritting his teeth in a smile, Aiden sighs to himself. "I don't like mentioning it... and she doesn't like mentioning me very much. My record isn't exactly spotless.... Still... The last credits I got from her were last year on my birthday. I bought a plant for my apartment with it." He scratches behind his right ear and adds, "I have plenty of Protein Pops... What kind of hot shot wannabe pilot wouldn't?" Alynne grins at Aiden, "A plant huh? How domesticated of you. Next thing you'll know, you'll have a dog running around the place" she teases again. She glances at Jenifer, "I don't know about you, but my mouth is a watering just thinking about those Protien pops." Glancing back at Aiden, and hooking her arm in his, "How about we call it a night here and head back to your place now?" Aiden nods, finding it hard to disagree with Alynne tonight. "Sounds good." He pulls himself up and leans on his cane with his other hand. "Just follow me ladies." Alynne rises up off the bench with Aiden along with Jenifer right behind her. She grins at Aiden and seems to really enjoy the fact that he came along tonight and 'rescued' her and a stranger. Somehow she's finding him to be quite the chivalrous guy and that's a quality she likes to see in a guy, especially during this day and age. Aiden enjoys the walk in the park, it -is- quite a nice night out. "My luck's holding...." He murmurs to himself, then looks over to Alynne. "I'm lucky I bumped into you... I was planning to take a route around the park, but then I changed my mind...." Using the cane he points ahead in the distance, towards a downtown Coronet skyscraper. "I live in that one over there... We can take a shuttle there from the edge of the park." Yep... Seems fortune is keeping an eye and a protective hand around Aiden for now.... But, he's Corellian.
