    Smuggler's Cantina -- Coronet
The Smuggler's Cantina is known throughout Corellia as a place
where only the extremely cautious dare to enter. The Cantina has a
reputation of having some of the most rugged and dangerous patrons
around; some may even be for hire for the right price. At this moment,
the cantina is filled with many creatures, some humanoid, and some not.
The air is filled with the haze and musky smoke expelled from various
kinds of inhaled paraphernalia. A long bar is situated at the northeast
corner with several stools before it, while booths are nestled like
    cubbyholes along the walls.

Alynne is seated at what seems to be her usual chair at the bar,
sipping on her usual tall drink. She appears as if she's become quite
a regular to this cantina, and the bartender is constantly chatting
with her between drink orders. A chuckle escapes Alynnes lips and up
goes her hand with her forefinger extend, she comments, "You should
be ashamed at yourself Whern..." but chuckles anyhow.

Rathe enters the cantina, which is now becoming the place he spends
most of his time. He notices Alynne sitting at the bar and walks over
to her. He sits next to her and orders himself a drink. AS the bartender
goes of to fetch it he says, "How are you today Alynne?"

Garr Nova enters from outside, hood drawn over his head as he calmly
and quietly steps through the door, stepping aside as a patron tries
to leave through that same exit.

Alynne glances over at Rathe as he seats himself next to her. She
smiles and responds to Rathes question, "Not to bad as of late. Found
a job for today to hold me over till the next. And you? Having any
luck yourself". While having her head turned, she seems to take note
of the hooded man entering the area. Its not unusual for an identity
to be hidden in these days...but inwardly she hopes that its not a
sign of things to come. She turns her attention back to Rathe and asks,
"What was that you are having?" nodding towards the bartender.

Garr Nova walks to the bar, pulling back the hood of the cloak as he
goes, revealing a human man, probably somewhere in his early thirties.
Looking at the bartender he smiles pleasantly as he asks for a
glass of _water_ in a calm, matter-of-fact tone of voice. The request
does draw a few stares from nearby patrons and more than a few sniggers
and comments about what water would be more appropriately used for. The
man seems to ignore these comments though, even the scowl of the
bartender who mutters something about not earning anything on giving
    customers water for free.

Alynne, taking note that Rathe seems to be engrossed in someone else
that has captured his attention; she moves her attention to the
previously hooded stranger. His calm voice compels her to also glance
at the now revealed man. She smiles at him, and inclines her head,
thinking it nothing that a man would order water. She glances down at
her drink and grins while commenting to herself, "Perhaps I should start
on that stuff myself" especially after the monstrous hangover she had
    in the morning.

Garr Nova smiles at the bartender and slides a few credits over the bar.
Enough to pay for a decent drink. Certainly more than a glass of water
would be worth, "I wouldn't dream of taking up your time without making
it worth your while". Overhearing the comment from Alynne, he turns is
head to look at her as the bartender fills a glass with water after
pocketing the credits and shaking his head. A wry smile crosses the
stranger's face, "They do wear a person down, do they not?" he comments
with a slight chuckle in his voice.

Alynne returns her gaze back to the stranger and smiles, she nods,
"Aye, that they do, and at certain times, more so, especially when a
prize is at hand" she laughs lightly, recalling her ventures from the
previous night. She raises her glass to the man, "Here's to hoping
this one won't tonight" she toasts with a comical smile splayed upon
    her lips.

Garr Nova smiles and nods, raising his glass of water as well, then
taking a sip of it. "I do hope the prize was worth the price then".
He grins a bit as he speaks again, "I'm being unforgivably rude and
neglecting to introduce myself. I am Garr Nova." he extends a hand to
shake in greeting, as he does the cloak about his shoulders part for
a second, revealing tan and brown robes underneath, and a metal
cylinder hanging from his belt, briefly visible before the cloak
    obscures it again.

The man's clothing, and especially the metal cylinder hidden beneath
the cloak, doesn't go unnoticed. Alynne takes a sip from her own drink
and glances down at the cylinder. She's heard of Jedi having a cylinder
weapon similar to this, before. Quickly setting her drink down, she
wipes her hands on her clothing and extends her own hand out to grasp
that of the man. Swallowing she replies, "Alynne, Alynne Halbreth. A
pleasure Garr Nova." Her eyes return to that of the cylinder and as
she draws her hand away from his, she asks while gesturing slightly,
"That what I think it is?" with all innocence in her voice.

Garr Nova looks down at the object, which has drawn Alynne's attention.
He doesn't seem angered, or even annoyed at the object having been
spotted, so he was probably not trying to hide anything in the first
place, his somewhat secretive looking clothing style. "It all depends
on what you believe it to be, Alynne Halbreth", he says with a slight
smile, though there is something serious to his voice this time as well.
He pauses, taking another sip, and then smiles again and nods, "But to
answer your question, yes, it is a lightsaber". His voice is as calm
and matter-of-fact as before, no hint of bragging or even pride in it.
Just making a statement of fact.

Brows lift, and lashes blink a time or two, it wasn't as if Alynne
wasn't expecting the answer, on the contrary, the manner in which he
openly states was surprising. She looks to the eyes of the man, back
down to the cylinder, then back to the eyes, "Truly?" She whistles to
herself, then as if the though suddenly whomps her upside the head,
she jolts back, "That would me that you're a..." her finger comes up
and points at the man. She laughs and turns to face forward, "Man, I
never thought I'd meet one in person..."

Garr Nova smiles again, "Contrary to popular belief we are actually just
people like anyone else, and we can be found in all kinds of places, like
anyone else". A humorous glint comes over his eyes and a chuckle can be
heard in his voice again, "Of course, I could be a con man trying to trick
you, or a fake pretending to be something he is not. After all, first
    impressions can be deceiving".

Alynne lifts her brows again as she cocks her head to the side to look at
the man, she studies him a moment and then turns back shaking her head,
    "Somehow I don't think there's any deception going on here...I think I
would know if someone was playing with my head." Swiveling her feet and
turning to look at the man, "Just out of curiosity, what's it like to be,"
she gestures, "you know...one of you?"

"What is it like to be you? What is it like to be anyone?" He smiles, "It
is not so different from being anything else as you might think. The
details are different, certainly. There is training... studies...
learning... responsibilities. But this is how life is for any being".
    His eyes grow a little distant for a second and his smile a bit wider;
"There are... benefits though. The close connection to the force which
binds all life together is... an amazing feeling. And an incredible
privilege". He pauses again, blinking once as if to clear his head,
    "And a great responsibility."

Alynne can't help but exhale a half laugh a the last statement, "Oh I
can imagine. If its anything like making sure a ship is ready to fly,
and that it won't explode upon liftoff, that in itself is quite the
burden to carry." She looks at the man and grins, "But seeing that
craft lift off, and _knowing_ that I did a good job to make sure it
didn't explode gives me a good feeling too. You think maybe I got
some of that Force in me in that sense?"

Garr Nova grins and looks over at Alynne, "That pretty much describes
it, yes". He smiles and takes another sip of his water, "And I'm certain
you do have the Force in you.. Everyone does, to one degree or another,
even those who refuse to acknowledge it". He pauses, then speaks again,
"A ship's mechanic, eh? That is a great responsibility indeed."

Alynne shrugs lightly and manages to state, "If I find the work, yeah I
suppose it is." She reaches around and again takes up her drink, then
returns her attention on the man, "It pays for my drinks" she holds up
with an emphasis "and fills my belly, along with keeping a roof over my
head. I don't think it's quite as interesting as what you do though."
She cocks her head to the side, "You get to travel a lot?"

Garr Nova smiles and nods, "I do. Travel sort of goes with the job...
And of course, there is no better way to learn than to travel and
observe. One's field of perception narrows if one does not make an effort
    to widen it."

Garr Nova is standing by the bar, talking to Alynne and seeming to be in
    a good mood.

Alynne is seated at her usual spot at the bar, talking with a man who
remarkably has the very aura of being a Jedi about him. She nods to the
man, "I suppose it does. Sounds very exciting, I have to admit. I've
always wanted to travel around, and" she gestures, "This planet is the
only other place I've gone besides my home world."

Aiden swaggers on in, leaning on what appears to be a cane (a pimp cane?
Nah, but it does look like a gentleman's cane.) He makes his way over to
the bar, and takes a perch not too far from Alynne and the man she is
    speaking with.

Garr Nova smiles, "Well, Corellia is not a bad place to go to learn new
things". He chuckles, "Then you've already seen twice as much as many
others. And Corellia is not a bad place to be to learn new things... But
yes, I will admit that the traveling is a great benefit and something I
    take pleasure in."

Aiden puts his 'pimp cane' away; pressing a button on it to retract it
and placing it in a pouch attached to his belt. Then, taking a good long
time, he looks around, checking out the crowd.

Kyr enters the crowded cantina attempting to carry an ungodly amount of
papers. He smiles as he sees to familiar faces and an object with his
favorite red button. "Hey guys!" He waves at Aiden and Alynne... and drops
the papers in a big sprawling mess

Tarun Jayd enters from Meteor Way -- Coronet .
    Tarun Jayd has arrived.

Garr Nova is standing over by the bar, talking to Alynne with a glass
containing a clear liquid suspiciously similar to water in his hand.

Alynne sighs wistfully as she listens to the Jedi, "Does sound inviting"
she replies. She doesn't seem to notice Aiden as he sits not too far
from her, but the obvious sound of the cane retracting did catch her
attention. About the time she turns to look, Kyr's greeting and immediate
blunder does set her off to laughing a bit. "Hey there kid" then glances
back at the man to explain, "test pilots".

Tarun Jayd enters the Cantina, allowing his eyes to wander the place for
a moment, then he moves to the bar, looking decidedly out of place. He
nods to Garr Nova, a small smile on his lips.

Kyr hmphs indignantly and shoots a look of betrayal at Alynne.

Garr Nova smiles, "And friends of yours I take it". He grins, then his
head turns as if he senses something and his eyes lock on Tarun. Smiling
    he returns the nod.

Aiden gets up out of his chair and lends Kyr a hand picking up the papers.
"So, work was a bit much today, hmmm?"

Kyr grumbles, "Not work, dealing with lawyers and CorSec. I'm trying to
get some stuff that they recovered from the building wreckage

"Ahh, well... that's the way it goes." Aiden shakes his head, having
gathered about half the papers already. "I personally dislike CorSec...
Lousy police bastards, always sticking their fat faces where they don't
    belong."

Kyr nods tiredly, "Yeah, and there never around when you need them"
There is a bit of bitterness from this normally cheerful kid

Garr Nova looks at Tarun, seemingly trying to remember something for a
second before he speaks, "Jayd, right? I believe we met on Ossus once."

Alynne seems to now notice Aiden as he moves to help Kyr pick up his
papers, she grins lightly and returns her attention back to Garr, "Yeah,
both of them actually. Recent friends in any case, which reminds me..."
she turns and calls over her shoulder, "Hey Aiden, where's that dinner
    you owe me?"

Kyr finishes collecting the remaining papers and gathers them into a semi
orderly stack and shoves them into a folder.

"Look, buddy, you can't let them get you bogged down. Protest on their
front steps if you have to, but make sure they do what you want them to."
Aiden handles his share of the stack of papers, ready to set them down on
the bar top actually... then Alynne calls out, and his attention
immediately shifts to her, "Oh... I hadn't seen you there. So, you're
actually going to hold me to it, hmm?" He says with a smile.

    Kyr thinks . o O (grins inwardly)

Kyr says, "Well I suppose you two could always have a rematch for double
or nothing" Kyr grins at this and looks towards the bartender"

Alynne replies to Aiden, "You don't think I went through having a hangover
and a day from hell for nothing did you?" She grins and returns her
attention to Garr, "That was the prize, and I hope its worth it..." she
comments loud enough for Aiden to hear. Hearing Kyr comment on the subject,
she glances his way and raises a hand, "Not tonight...thanks..."

Kyr does his best imitation of a pout, playing up his still young features
as much as he can "Awwwww...."

Tarun Jayd nods at Garr. "Yes, I'm Tarun Jayd. You're... Nova, yes?"

Aiden rolls his eyes, then motions for Kyr to follow him on over to Alynne.
He takes the seat to the other side of her, opposite Garr. "So what did
you want for dinner, Alynne?" He grins, giving Alynne a wink.

Garr Nova nods at Tarun, "Garr Nova, yes. I was in training under Master
Baamata when we met. It is good to see you again". He turns to Alynne
again and chuckles, "Ah, so that's the infamous prize? Well, he should
definitely honor his obligation then. It is the right thing to do". He
chuckles a little and looks over at Aiden.

Kyr follows Aiden and crouches at the side of the barstool

Kyr says to Garr, "Infamous? Hardly infamous, just a bad drinker""

Garr Nova smiles and takes a sip of his glass. "Well, this is one reason I
    stick to water" he comments.

Kyr grins at Garr Nova, "Try the local fizzy drink, its great." turning to
the bartender he shouts "Hey Whern!"

Alynne chuckles at Garr's statement and almost blushes before turning her
attention to Aiden, "What would I like for dinner" she taps her chin
lightly with her finger as she glances up innocently at the ceiling above.
She then snaps her fingers and exclaims, "I got it! A nice juicy Banta
steak with a side of Trulsian potatoes" then as an afterthought, "and
throw in a vegetable or two. I do after all, have to make the best of this."

Garr Nova grins at Kyr's suggestion, "Well, I may just do that the next
time... but for now duties call". He pulls his hood back over his head and
looks over at Alynne with a wry smile, "It was nice to meet you and your
    friends."

"Sounds like you have an appetite tonight... how unfortunately for my bank
account." Aiden grimaces, though he remains cheerful nonetheless. He looks
to Whern and orders the meal Alynne wanted exact down to the very detail.
Then he adds, "Bring me a Banta steak as well, just grill it till it looks
burnt and bring it out. And bring a bottle of that green wine from Talos,
I know you got a shipment in last week." Then, as he looks over to Kyr, he
adds an afterthought, "And a glass of the finest fizzy drink for Kyr here..."

    Kyr thinks . o O (there's something that I should noticing here..... a
    reason why....)

Alynne smiles as Garr rises from his seat to leave, she nods, "I'm
very honored to have met you Garr Nova. I do hope our paths cross
again...course" she shrugs, "I can most likely be found here" she
laughs lightly. Then as Garr moves off to leave, she returns her
attention to Aiden and grins, "I got to keep my girlish figure right?"

Tarun Jayd orders some Ithorian water. When the barkeep's finished giving
him the Eye, he slides it in front of the Jedi, who sniffs it before paying.
"Alynne... I wouldn't change one thing about you." Aiden replies, his eyes
lighting on Alynne's for a moment. He flushes, ever-so-slightly, and looks
away. "So, who was that guy?"

Garr Nova finishes his glass of water, puts it down on the counter and
turns Tarun; "We should speak soon, Tarun Jayd, though I need to leave
for now". He turns his head back to Alynne and nods at her, then starts
moving towards the exit doors, the hooded cloak once again shrouding his
    identity from most observers.

Tarun Jayd nods to Garr and watches the older man leave.

Kyr looks at Alynne with interest, waiting for an answer

Alynne shrugs lightly and nonchalant mentions, "Oh, just some new friend I
made tonight. Seems quite interesting actually." Taking note of the blush
upon Aiden's cheek she chuckles lightly, "You're not jealous now are you?"
she turns to Kyr and winks at him, then returns her attention to Aiden.
She doesn't miss however, the exchange between Garr and Tarun. A momentary
thought crosses her mind about Tarun.

Whern comes with the Banta steaks and gives a look to Kyr, motioning for
Kyr to follow him. Kyr looks confused until Whern gives him BOTH Eyes and
realization hit him, not unlike being blindsided by a charging Banta.
"Alright I'll be right there." Kyr runs off while apologizing quickly
"Sorry Aiden and Alynne I've got some... work to do."

Aiden shrugs, "Why would I be jealous? I was just wondering who he was,
as I didn't get to ask him myself." He licks his lips as the steaks
arrive, and very nearly dives into eating it... But he holds up and
nods to Kyr. "See you later, buddy... Don't work hard, work smart."

Tarun Jayd frowns as he watches Kyr depart. o O(Interesting way of
putting things. Perhaps Master Kariel was right, we are needed here.)O o

Alynne winks at Kyr and nods, "No problem duty calls at unexpected times."
Listening to Aiden's explanation she nods lightly, a likely story she
thinks. Glancing at the steaks she breathes in its aroma and can feel her
stomach aching for a morsel. Picking up her utensils, she begins to carve,
she glances over at Tarun momentarily and smiles as she notes him watching
Kyr, "He's but a test pilot..." she explains.

A young voice is barely heard as it cries out softly from the direction
of the kitchen "Hey not too much! You want to make them trippy not cause
permanent damage to there brain cells!"

Tarun Jayd turns at a new voice, searching for the source.
FORCE POWER CHECK (Tarun Jayd) *Passive Power*
    Power: Mind Reading
    ...................................Failure!

Tarun Jayd extends his consciousness in the direction of the kitchen,
    but fails to note anything important. o O(Cooks talking, I guess.)O o.

Kyr grumbles as he comes up with the wine. "Whern spilled something down
there, so he had me bring this for you."

Kyr thinks . o O (I hope they don't figure it out until its to late)

Tarun Jayd puts two and two together in his mind and decides to try again.
    Something's not right.
FORCE POWER CHECK (Tarun Jayd) *Passive Power*
    Power: Mind Reading
    ...................................SUCCESS!!

Tarun Jayd scans Kyr's mind, playing along the surface of his thoughts.

Aiden digs into his steak, finishing the good parts. Surprisingly, he eats
like a perfect gentlemen... someone's trained him well. Then, just as he
actually starts getting thirsty, Kyr shows up with the wine.

Alynne glances up at Kyr as he brings forth a bottle, "Uhh, thanks" thinking
it curious that the bartender wouldn't have some other stooge around to do
the piddling work. She downs several bites of her steak, and while doing so
speaks through chewing, "This ain't too bad Aiden, thanks. Glad you thought
    of it" she jests.

FORCE POWER CHECK (Tarun Jayd) *Neutral Power*
    Power: Pull
    ...................................Failure!

"No problem... if you ever need a free meal, don't hesitate to ask,
Aly... All you have to do is beat me at a drinking game." Aiden shifts
in his seat, pushing his empty plate away.

Tarun Jayd reaches his hand out, trying to call the bottle to him.
Failing in this, he grins wryly and moves quickly to take it from Kyr's
hands. He scans the bottle, sniffs it, and looks to Kyr. "This wine
has gone bad. Another bottle might be a good idea." He makes a small
finger motion as he says this.
FORCE POWER CHECK (Tarun Jayd) *Passive Power*
    Power: Persuasion
    ...................................SUCCESS!!

    Kyr thinks . o O (What the!)

Alynne scarves a bite or two of the potatoes and grins at Aiden, "I'll
keep that in mind" She glances over at Tarun as he grasps the bottle,
looking up at Kyr she lifts a brow, "Gonna serve us bad stuff? Awww Kyr,
that's so unsportsman-like" then grins as though she was kidding him.

Kyr says, "Urmmm a what do you mean?????"

Tarun Jayd thinks . o O (Even though he means well, I can't allow that.)

Aiden shakes his head, frowning in Kyr's direction. "Good thing we had
a Jedi around... isn't it." He eyes Tarun carefully, and gives him a
respectful nod. "I'd better take off Alynne... Kyr. Take care." With
that he's off, pulling out his 'pimpin' cane and swaggering off.

Alynne finishes wiping up the last remnants of her meal as Aiden rises
to leave. She nods to him with a smile and a wink, "Thanks again for the
meal. I'm sure we'll be seeing one another again". She glances over at
Kyr as Aiden's comment sinks in, then to Tarun and smiles, "Yes, I
    personally thank you sir."

Tarun Jayd nods and bows slightly, then moves back to the bar, looking
meaningfully at Kyr as he does so.

Kyr looks nervous as the three look at him suspiciously. The sweat drops
begin to collect on his head when his commlink beeps. o 0 (Saved by the
beep!). Looking at it his heart sinks a little. "CorSec again. Gotta go
bye!" Kyr dashes off after grabbing his folder of papers

Tarun Jayd shakes his head and grins broadly as he sniffs his water to
    make sure it's still fresh.

Alynne watches Kyr disappear so rapidly, so unlike him. She glances to
Tarun and shrugs, "Maybe he's got a second job. I hear test pilots
aren't paid all that well for what they do."

Tarun Jayd grins. "He meant well. Accept that."

Alynne smiles and nods, "I know, he's just a kid and is prone to making
mistakes." Smiling at Tarun she slides the plate away, taking a final
sip of her drink, "Well, I must be off as well" rubbing her stomach, "now
that the belly is filled, time for me to find a place to rest my head."
Inclining her head to Tarun, "Goodnight" she says as she turns to head
    out the cantina.

Tarun nods to the woman, "Goodnight" he responds while watching the
    woman leave.
